The sun has returned! The nice weather these past two days have been so comforting. Even though it was still only about 65 degrees, a lot of guys were walking around downtown shirtless today. Warmth is relative here.
Yesterday, I made a nice dinner for myself, deciding to redeem myself after the previous night's dinner of chocolate chip cookies. Apart from satisfying my hunger and cravings for veggies and a Chinese-style meal, it was really great for a few other reasons. It was delicious, all of the food was easy and fast to make, and cleanup was quick and simple. It was just such a great feeling to make a real, full dinner. I was also inspired enough to do a thorough cleaning of the kitchen, from pots and dishes to counters and range. Though this might also mean that being a housewife is my true calling, I would like to think that it means that there is hope for my survival in the real world next year!

Otherwise, I've just been enjoying the sunshine, working out with Stella along the coastal trail and realizing how much I've missed seeing the sunset. Here are a couple of pictures from my walk home from Stella's house tonight.

I'm headed to bed now, in an effort to stock up on sleep tonight and tomorrow. We are watching the Batman marathon on Thursday night, so we'll be in the movie theater from 6pm to 3am. Then, a few hours later at 7:30am, we'll be headed to Seward for a few tours as part of a field trip for work on Friday. It should be a really great start to my last weekend in Alaska. Hopefully, I can stay awake!
you're going to be in a movie theater for 9 hours???
