Stella and I finally decided to stop being lazy bums and have been trying to get some exercise by running to each other and then running together on the Coastal Trail. The weather has been disrupting our schedule though... so we've continued to be gluttons in our respective houses as we hide from the rain. Quite unfortunate.

Since we've been keeping indoors in general, it's been fairly uneventful. So instead of adventures, I will share some pictures from my daily life:

The back of some meeting notes from work (I have a doodling problem)

The other night, Stella and I made strawberry-banana-ice-cream-yogurt smoothies and called it dinner. It was delicious! Nonetheless, yesterday, Carla and I finally decided to make some real food to eat, with enough for dinner that night and a tupperware-full each for lunch the next day.

A dinner of rice with bean sprouts, mushrooms, eggs, and kimchi

Later, when we took Tux out for a walk, we saw these two girls, barefoot, drawing on the sidewalk by Elderberry Park, on the way down to the Coastal Trail. I think that they would count as "granolas"--a term that several Alaskans have used that seems to refer to hippie-ish people. That's the interpretation I got, at least.

We had to restrain Tux from the chalk art

I thought it was really nice--they were just sitting on the sidewalk, carefree, drawing. Though it was actually a grey day, they drew a nice sunset over the mountains. I've missed seeing the Anchorage sunset lately. It's been cloudy and rainy all week, with more of the same in the 10-day forecast. It's quite sad, but I suppose I've gotten some pretty nice days as well.

Though it is especially gloomy outside today, it was a good day because I got a great fill of fruit. There was an event at the house during lunch, so I came home to find a fridge with leftovers that included a fruit platter!

Happiness in a bowl

Fingers crossed for sunshine in the days to come!
